Smart CSV Import for Domain Portfolios

Migrate Afternic, Sedo, GoDaddy, Dynadot, or generic CSV exports into globNIC with auto-detected columns, duplicate handling, and post-import verification checklists.

Step-by-step checklist

  1. 1

Export from your current marketplace or registrar

Download a CSV from Afternic, Sedo, GoDaddy, Dynadot, Spaceship, or your spreadsheet. Include domain and buy-now price columns at minimum.

  2. 2

    Open globNIC Smart Template Import

Go to /member/domains/import. Leave platform on Auto-Detect unless you need to force a specific header map.

  3. 3

Upload the CSV and review parser results

The importer normalizes prices to cents, assigns tiers, and reports duplicates, skipped rows, and restored trash entries.

  4. 4

    Verify imported domains

New rows start in pending verification. Batch through NS, TXT, or CNAME verification before expecting live parking or marketplace visibility.

  5. 5

Apply Smart DNS templates where needed

For NS-delegated groups, load DNS templates at /member/dns/templates to rebuild mail or app records quickly.

How auto-detect column mapping works

globNIC inspects CSV headers for known signatures from major aftermarkets and registrars. When a platform match is found, domain and price columns map automatically. Unrecognized headers fall back to a generic mapper that still requires a domain column and a recognizable price field.

Import limits and plan caps

Each upload accepts up to 500 parsed domains. Free and Navigator plans enforce a 50 active-domain portfolio cap; Strategist and above skip the count limit. Rows that exceed remaining slots return an upgrade prompt with remaining capacity.

Duplicates, trash, and ownership conflicts

Active duplicates in your account are skipped and listed in the response. Soft-deleted names you previously owned can restore with merged pricing. Stale soft-deleted rows from other members are hard-deleted so a new owner can claim the domain cleanly.

Post-import operator checklist

After a successful import: verify high-value names first, enable parking for NS-ready groups, export DNS before any nameserver migration, and use bulk DNS for shared record patterns across similar stacks.

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers for operators moving domains onto globNIC.

Which CSV formats does globNIC accept?

Only .csv uploads are accepted. Auto-detect supports Afternic, Sedo, GoDaddy, Dynadot, Spaceship, and generic spreadsheets with recognizable domain and price headers.

What happens to duplicate domains in my portfolio?

Exact matches already active under your account are skipped and returned in the duplicates array. Pricing from the CSV does not overwrite active listings unless you update them separately.

Do imported domains go live immediately?

No. Imported rows begin in pending verification. Complete NS, TXT, or CNAME verification for each domain before parking pages or marketplace listings become buyer-visible.

Can I export my globNIC portfolio back out?

Yes. Member export tools produce CSV compatible with other aftermarkets. Use export after bulk price updates to keep external marketplaces in sync.
